Update: Biking 1,000 Miles

Update: today I broke 500 miles and I'm only at the five-month mark! And to make it even better, I beat my best time for a 25 mile ride by over 13 minutes!

Update: at the one year mark I’m pleased to say I rode 720.4 miles between March 1, 2015 and March 1, 2016. It’s not quite 1,000, but I’m still really happy with what I did.

Update: today I broke 500 miles and I’m only at the five-month mark! And to make it even better, I achieved a personal best of 1 hour 49 minutes for a 25 mile bike ride, beating my best time by almost 13 minutes!

At my halfway point on my first bike ride of the season I wrote about my 1,000 mile bike challenge: I will ride 1,000 miles between Mar. 1, 2015 and Mar. 1, 2016. Three months in, I decided to create a post where I track my miles so you guys can keep me honest. So far, I’ve logged 273.02 miles and I’m very proud of that. Every Sunday I do a long ride where every other week I push myself to add an extra mile or two. So far, so good (though some weeks are easier than others).
