Turns out I missed mile marker 3, my turnaround point on the Mt. Vernon trail, and ended up turning around just shy of mile marker 2 resulting in a 25.2 mile ride.

I was riding my bike to work on Fri., June 12 and got stuck waiting for a motorcade at 17th and Constitution. It turned out to be President Obama.
I’m waiting to board a flight home so I can help take my mom home from the hospital and help her adjust to life after a massive heart attack. Except now I’m not. I’m going home to plan her funeral.
I challenged myself to ride 1,000 miles on my bike between March 1, 2015 and March 1, 2016 and today was my first ride.
I shake my head trying to comprehend a reality where using actual silverware on a daily basis is the norm and running it through the dishwasher is okay.
