This was the Christmas that really began my love affair with computers—the Christmas I got my very first one. It was a TI 99/4a and I was so excited! Thanks mom and dad!

Me with my three adorable nieces in 2006.
Meg, Mikey, Marcello and I stop for a picnic on our way to Gettysburg.
A very happy Throwback Thursday birthday to Alyssa, my sister. I’m pretty sure this is for her birthday in either September 1990 or September 1991.
Alyssa and me ready for Bon Odori.
I didn’t take this photo, but it is a poignant and emotional reminder of September 11 and a powerful and uplifting symbol of American resilience.
In the past week Arlington County mailed out a brochure detailing alternatives to traveling around the County by car. One of the things they highlighted was the Arlington Loop: a 17 mile loop combining four of the County’s bike trails.
My sister Alyssa (always the fashion plate in her swank, 1970’s two-piece swimsuit) and me splashing around in our kiddie pool.
My friend Ron and me at DC Pride in June 1996.
Between the cute guy who practically broke his neck gawking at me and the two tween girls yelling “HAWT” and then dissolving into giggles, I’m feeling pretty good about all this.
She was a mom from the start! My sister holding a very factory-fresh me sometime in May 1972. (BTW, we had that sofa until I was a sophomore in high school.)
