This is pure 1995 pretty much from the moment my plane landed in Washington, DC. I moved to Washington on March 1, 1995, came out to myself, discovered the gay social scene (with some help from my new friend Bob) and dance music!
I really wish iTunes had the version of “The Bomb” from this playlist. It’s about 15 minutes long and the second I hear it, I’m instantly walking into the big room of Tracks ready to dance. (Also, equally upsetting, there’s no wikipedia page for Tracks. It was a phenomenal night club.)
And “Paninaro ’95” makes me think of walking into a very crowded JR’s on a cold winter night and this song coming on. (JR’s is a row-house-turned-bar and when I say “crowded”, I mean “crammed to the gills.”)
