Oh, there’s some fun music here! I clearly (and quickly) moved back to making mix tapes of dance music. One of my favorite songs on this mix is “Mama Told Me Not to Come.” This arrangement is from the movie Party Girl (trailer)—which if you haven’t seen it, drop everything and go watch it now—and I can’t find a version of it anywhere.
Mission Impossible had just been re-booted with Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt, so of course there was a remix done of the theme song. And one day shopping in Georgetown at HMV Records (which is now an Apple Store), I ran across this random 70’s disco album with a version of “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina.” Hilarious!
