I must’ve been backfilling some of the Singles collection when making this. Most of the songs are leftover from high school with memory flashes of riding around Phoenix with my friend Jimmy in a big van (“Square Dance Rap”), driving to school (“Phantom Bride” and “Pure Energy”). One song — “Groovy Train” — is definitely from the Spring of 1991 when my fraternity brother Drew returned to New Mexico State. This song came from the Washington, D.C.-area’s (now defunct) WHFS-FM radio station.
