This is the origin of “The Dallas Shot,” which is a photo where everyone is posed looking regal, sophisticated, devilish and superior—you know, like promotional still photography from soap operas like “Dallas.” One of my favorite New Year’s Eves ever, Meg and Bill created a six course meal with wine pairings. The time stamp on this picture is 11:55 p.m., so we’re five minutes from 2007 and (at least) three sheets to the wind.
